Viral Act Of Kindness Inspires Pajama Donation For Entire School

Engelhard Elementary School in Louisville, Kentucky, celebrated a special event this week where every student received a new pair of pajamas, thanks to EJ's PJs and Toys for Tots. The initiative was inspired by the story of school bus driver Larry Farrish Jr, who made national news for his act of kindness earlier this year when he bought jammies for a student named Levi on his bus who didn’t have any for his school’s pajama day event.

Following Farrish’s kind act, EJ's PJs, an organization dedicated to providing pajamas to children in need, decided to extend this generosity to all the students at Engelhard Elementary. The organization, founded by Patricia Poggi, traveled nearly 800 miles from Long Island, New York, to deliver pajamas to the school.

During the pajama party event, Poggi praised Farrish for exemplifying the spirit of their mission and stressed that no child should be made to feel left out. "We want all of Engelhard Elementary School to have pajamas,” Poggi said, “And we don't want any of the kids to ever have the circumstances like little Levi had."
