Missing Woman Found – When She Wanders Into TV Reporter’s Live Shot

Sometimes the police have it easy. Not often, but sometimes.

Police in Nashville, Tennessee were in full “go find ‘em” mode when a 33-year-old New Jersey woman was reported missing after partying downtown.

With the recent disappearance and tragic death of Riley Strain a few months back still fresh in their minds, police got on the case without delay.

A search for Alexandria Chmiel began after 4 AM and involved helicopters, drones, and crews repelling down the banks of the Cumberland River.

Shortly after 7:30 AM, news outlets like WKRN-TV reported that police had found a shoe and possibly blood near the river. Things started to look bleak, but good news was just around the corner.

Just after 9 AM CT, the missing woman walked into news reporter Peyton Kennedy's frame during her live shot.

Chmiel later told police she had no idea how she ended up down by the river, or how she lost her shoes and cellphone.

She was taken to a nearby hospital for observation, but it appears that the story has a thankfully positive outcome.
