With Tropical Storm Debby’s track heading to South Carolina, one animal shelter put out the call for help in emptying the animals to keep them safe.
And it worked!
Dorchester PAWS is in a flood plain and was full, so concerned staffers asked anyone in the community who could foster a dog or cat to come to the shelter on Sunday.
Cars were lined up to take the pups and kitties to safety and when all was said and done, every pet was in foster hands.
Staffers are thrilled.
The shelter is currently building a safer facility on higher ground.
