Dog Saves His Human After 20-Foot Fall By Running For Help

A Golden Retriever in Pennsylvania is being hailed as a hero after saving his owner who fell down a 20-foot hillside near Pittsburgh. The incident occurred last Thursday when the dog’s owner suffered a severe hip injury and was unable to get up. The quick-thinking dog immediately ran to the neighbors to alert them of his owner’s need for help.

The neighbors called emergency responders, leading to a challenging rescue by the Ross/West View EMSA team. Upon arriving at the scene, EMS workers stabilized the injured man and treated him for pain. They then used a rope system to safely lift him out of the wooded area before transporting him to a local trauma center for further treatment.

Throughout the ordeal, the loyal dog stayed by his owner's side, refusing to leave until he was safely rescued. In a post to social media, Ross/West View EMSA praised the dog, noting his crucial role in the rescue. The courageous canine was later rewarded with treats and a big bowl of water for his efforts.
