Boy’s Ice Cream Stand Shut Down So Restaurant Owner Steps Up To Help

A Massachusetts boy's ice cream stand has been shut down after complaints were filed.

The 12-year-old boy said he started the ice cream stand to make some money this summer.

Dan Doherty's family decided that some of the proceeds would go toward the boy's brother's hockey club, the Boston Bear Cubs.

Well, the ice cream stand was shut down after the Norwood Health Department said someone reported them, but it's unclear for what.

Now Matthew Mattera, owner of Longboards Restaurant in Salem, is helping out the boy by putting out a donation jar and donating 25% of the sales of the restaurant’s signature dessert.
