A Virginia teenager is being honored by “Time Magazine” as its "Kid of the Year."
Heman Bekele of Woodson High School in Fairfax County was chosen for the honor because of a soap he invented to help treat skin problems.
Bekele experimented in his bedroom for three years before hitting the jackpot.
The 15-year-old won last year's 3M Young Scientist Challenge for his invention, which contains a drug that helps treat warts and some kinds of skin cancer.
Bekele says he hopes to make treatment for skin problems more affordable and accessible through his invention.
