An Austrian surgeon decided to let his teenage daughter help him during a brain surgery and the patient found out much later on.
An anonymous tip to police uncovered that the surgeon let his daughter into the operating room and even let her drill a hole in the patient’s skull.
The tip came in around April and it took until July for the patient to be informed.
While the procedure went off without a hitch, he is still facing health issues. The surgeon and a specialist present during the operation were fired by the hospital.
The victim’s lawyer says the hospital has never reached out to him about the incident.
