Jenna Fischer, star of "The Office," revealed on Instagram yesterday that she was diagnosed with stage 1 triple-positive breast cancer in December 2023. The actress shared that after undergoing surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation, she is now cancer-free. "I never thought I’d be making an announcement like this," Fischer wrote, adding she was inspired to share her story during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Fischer detailed the importance of early detection, explaining that her tumor was so small it could not be felt during a physical exam. "If I had waited six months longer, things could have been much worse," she said. She thanked her family, friends, and medical team, especially thanking her "Office" co-star Angela Kinsey, who supported her throughout the journey. "I’m feeling great," Fischer concluded, adding she’s ready to move forward, cancer-free.
