State Trooper Rescues Dog Tied To Fence Ahead Of Hurricane Milton

As Hurricane Milton was barreling toward the state of Florida, many people were evacuating and grabbing their valuables as they fled. But one person left something very important behind and in danger - their dog.

Florida Highway Patrol State Troopers came across a frightening scene just north of Tampa: a helpless dog tied to a fence along Interstate 75. When they found the pup yesterday morning, flood waters had already reached its belly, and it was still many hours before the hurricane was expected to make landfall.

The troopers found the defenseless animal barking as the water crept higher. They rescued it in the nick of time and shared a warning to others on social media. “Do NOT do this to your pets please,” they tweeted, along with a video of the discovery.
