A pair of Domino's employees are being hailed as heroes for saving an eight-year-old boy from a house fire in Oak Lawn, Illinois. The fire broke out at a mobile home community on the morning of October 7th around 1:15 a.m., and while the father and one of his sons were able to escape, they struggled to rescue the other child.

Naser Khanfar and Sara Jones were closing up their Domino's store when they noticed the fire. According to Khanfar, he and the father broke a window to free the eight-year-old from the burning home. The two employees acted quickly to help the father rescue his son before firefighters arrived on the scene.

Firefighters were able to put out the fire in about half an hour and fortunately, no one was injured in the blaze. Oak Lawn Fire Department Chief Mike McMillin commended the two Domino’s employees for their swift actions, saying, “It’s good that people are willing to get involved and help.”
