Man’s Strapped Down House That Went Viral Made It Through Hurricane Fine

Before the arrival of Hurricane Milton, photos went viral of a home where a man had strapped the house to the ground with heavy-duty restraints. 

Pedro Casares is that homeowner, and he says that he spent $22K on those plastic straps, which are the same straps used to secure cargo containers on freight ships. 

On TikTok, Casares’ daughter was pleased to report that the home security precautions paid off, and there was no damage to the home from the storm.

Now, some commenters are suggesting the family go into business providing this service to others in Hurricane-prone areas.
