After more than two years of being in a long-distance relationship, Jack Lorey and Erica Bonilla have a lot of frequent flyer airline miles under their belts. So, when he decided to ask her to marry him, all the flying they did back and forth to see each other was the inspiration for his romantic proposal.
Jack reached out to United Airlines and let them know what he was thinking and they were happy to help. He flew into Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport last Friday to see Erica, but before he did, his fellow passengers helped him pop the question. Each of them had a rose and as they got off the plane, they handed the flowers to Erica. Jack was the last one and he got down on one knee and proposed.
It was already a weekend with a lot to celebrate, it was the end of their long-distance days because Erica is moving to Tennessee to be with Jack, and on top of that? It was her birthday, too! “Leading up to the day, I was a nervous wreck,” Jack shares. “I sent an email on a whim to United and to have gotten their help to make this proposal happen is so cool. I am beyond grateful.”
