“Boy Meets World” star Danielle Fishel has revealed that she chose not to tell her kids about her cancer diagnosis to avoid worrying them. Fishel shares that she feared her son, who was close to his grandmother who died from lung cancer, might think “the next time he gets a cold that he’s gonna die.”
Instead, Fishel told her son that she had a "boo boo" that required surgery, saying, “I told them I love our bear hugs... but my boo-boo means that I need to be gentle.” Now cancer-free, Fishel is urging her fans to stay on top of their health.
The actress notes that it's crucial to detect health issues early. “Knowing my breast cancer diagnosis early on gave me the power to take action,” she shares, urging others to prioritize preventive care.
