Standing On One Leg Can Be A Clue As To How Well You’re Aging

recently published study shows how standing on one leg might be able to show you how well you’re aging.

Scientists at the Mayo Clinic looked at 40 people over the age of 50, half of which were under 65.

Among the tests to see how well they were aging was one that had them stand on their non-dominant leg for 30 seconds.

What they found was that the one-leg test can serve as a “reliable and gender-independent measure of neuromuscular aging.”

In addition to muscle strength, balance is an important factor when it comes to avoiding accidental falls as a person ages.
