Last week on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” a Michigan family that has lost their home twice in four years received a special surprise. Combat veteran Will Turner, his wife Andraya, and their three children were facing homelessness before being matched with Humble Design, an organization that helps veterans and their families, who worked with Wayfair to surprise the Turner family with a complete home makeover.
Clarkson's team revealed Turner’s newly furnished and decorated spaces, including a living room with a big couch, end tables, lamps, and a new TV. They also were shown their redesigned master bedroom, featuring family photos and a bookshelf. The dining room showcased a new table, chairs, and a fully decorated Christmas tree with presents underneath, while the kitchen and laundry room were also totally renovated. Upstairs, the children received brand-new bedrooms, completing the home’s transformation.
In addition to the home makeover, Turner was honored with a gesture from the U.S. Military. Since his service records and medals had been lost, the Military provided replacements along with a commemorative flag. Then to top it all off, Wayfair gave the family $5,000 to help them rebuild their lives.
