Pay It Forward For Pets - Spice

Meet Spice ❤️! Look at that “concerned” face!

Spice was found as a stray on Winton in Akron and is currently at Summit County Animal Control in downtown Akron. She is a Cane Corso, part of the Mastiff family, and this breed is often confused with Pit Bulls. Cane Corsos are typically very loyal to their families, and we see this in Spice. She is particularly anxious in the shelter setting and finds her surroundings to be quite frightening. Spice is fawn-colored and quite large. We couldn’t weigh her because she is not allowing anyone to handle her right now. She’s waiting for her people! Estimated to be six years old, this beautiful girl has been living in a home. Found with a choke chain on, this may indicate that her family is searching for her.

Our goal is to bring her back home where she can thrive. She has bonded with a family or pet parent and wishes to return home. If she isn’t reclaimed by her owner, she could struggle since her trust is limited at the moment. We want to get this girl home, and if she is not claimed, we hope an experienced Cane Corso handler will step forward to help her adjust to a new life.

Life can be tough and unfair for domestic animals😔. The shelter provides no real life for orphaned dogs and cats. Pets in shelters are there through no fault of their own. After all, every dog and cat once had a home with an owner. Pet ownership is a serious commitment. Dogs are feeling beings with emotions and intelligence. When treated casually, selfless pets can become casualties. Let’s change their fate… ADOPT, DON’T SHOP!

All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested, vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped. Rabies vaccine and license included.

Interested in adopting? Call 234-706-5501. Pets are fully vetted, spay/neutered. Pay It Forward for Pets is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Tax-deductible donations can be sent to 751 Delaware Ave., Akron, OH 44303. Visit us at www.payitforwardforpets.org
