Pay It Forward For Pets - Reena

Meet Reena ❤️! Look at those ears!!!

Reena is a puppy, thought to be about 5 months old.

She came into Summit County Animal Control as a much younger pup.

With extremely irritated eyes, Reena was taken to the veterinarian for an optical evaluation. It was determined that she had a very rare, “treatable” condition, but it would require surgery.

Unlike entropion eyes (where the eyelashes curl into the eye), her eyelashes were growing from extra tissue on top of the eye, called a dermoid.

Reena underwent an “adhesion” surgery on both eyes, has recuperated, and is ready for her forever home!

Check out her picture... you can’t even tell! As a staff favorite (because of her extended stay), this girl has already learned sit, lay, paw, and rollover.

She’s one smart cookie and very eager to learn even more.

While her stay in the shelter has been too long (due to the surgical and recovery process), she has been showered with love and is very well-adjusted for her age.

Now, Reena is ready to experience love with a pet parent and family.

She’s a mix of many breeds and she’s a little girl. It’s estimated that she will be a medium-sized dog when fully grown.

Check her out - you’ll be glad you did!!!

All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. Rabies vaccine and license included.
