A woman in Florida decided to take a hand in-flight safety. Armed with holy oil, Desiree Salter walked through the terminal at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and rubbed oil on the plane she was boarding, making the sign of the cross next to the plane’s open door.
A video she posted on TikTok of her DIY air travel blessing has grabbed over six million views, with people saying things like “You can fly with me anytime!” Salter says her stepfather is a pastor, and she keeps bottles of blessed oil at her home and in her purse.
