Two people, Tyrone Rose and Shamara P. Simmons, have been accused of stealing and reselling over 900 tickets for Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour,” as well as other big events, and are now facing criminal charges.
Several people were reportedly involved in hacking the computer system of online ticket broker StubHub as far back as the summer of 2022.
The hackers allegedly resold the stolen tickets, netting a profit of $635,000.
Rose and Simmons have been charged with first-degree computer tampering and second-degree grand larceny among other charges.
