Chappell Roan is gearing up to drop her country-inspired single, “The Giver,” this Thursday and she’s been teasing it all over TikTok.
In a series of clips, she and her creative director Ramisha “Misha” Sattar dance to the track’s playful chorus, “Cause you ain’t got to tell me / It’s just in my nature / So take it like a taker, ’cause, baby, I’m a giver.”
Fans have already jumped on the trend, recreating the videos and hyping the song as a “lesbian anthem.”
Roan has made it clear she’s just having fun with the genre on Instagram, saying, “I am just here to twirl and do a little gay yodel for y'all.”
With vinyl pre-orders live and buzz building, it looks like Roan’s country moment is about to be a big one.
