A boy in central Ohio is collecting hundreds of teddy bears to give to young patients spending the holidays in the hospital.
After his family volunteered to make blankets for patients at Nationwide Children’s Hospital last year, nine-year-old Jack wondered if kids might also like to have a teddy bear, too.
Through his project, Jack’s Bravery Bears, he’s already gathered hundreds of stuffed animals after collecting 445 bears in his first drive and is now aiming for 500.
Donations from neighbors, classmates, church members, and other community supporters have filled his home as he prepares for the delivery later this month.
A crowdfund campaign is also helping his family buy additional custom bears for the children.
