Joe Jonas revealed he auditioned for a slew of hit shows and movies, but his audition for Apple TV’s award-winning drama, “The Morning Show,” was a total “crash and burn.” Talking in the newest episode of his podcast, “Hey Jonas!” with his bros, Nick and Kevin, Joe recalled showing up early to the callback audition for the role of a hot shot “young anchor.”
Joe opened up about the turmoil of waiting to audition, describing the green room as, “the saddest room you can imagine…and I can hear clear as day all the other guys auditioning.” And to make things worse, Joe said he could hear the other actors “crushing it.” When he was finally up, Joe said his mind went blank as soon as he chose not to read off a script, leading to the awkward audition.
In the same conversation, Joe shared that he auditioned for roles in “Wicked” and a “Spider-man” movie. When asked by Nick which was his hardest audition, Joe said, “‘Wicked’ was a bit of a strange one because there was like incredible theater vocalists I could hear, clear as day,” signaling to him that he was up against tough competition.
