Superstition: College Softball Player Eats Ladybugs For Good Luck

We’ve all known someone who’s had some kind of superstition they were convinced brought them good luck…especially in the world of sports.

Currently playing in the NCAA Women’s Softball Tournament is Hannah Wells, from the University of Texas, and she seems to have a new one.

Since Wells was a little girl, she’s believed that “if she sees a ladybug, she eats it for good luck.” To back that up, while playing in Kentucky in the SEC tournament, Wells hit a home run…just after ingesting a tasty lucky ladybug.
