It’s safe to say, even our youngest generations know Toto from The Wizard of Oz. What you might not know is Toto was a rescued dog back in 1933. As a mere puppy, she was abandoned for having anxiety and housebreaking issues. Taken in and loved by Carl Spitz, a dog trainer, Toto not only became the most kind and obedient pup, but a beloved household name, too.
Our 6-pound (yep, our girl is only 6 pounds!) Toto’s life parallels Toto, the actor, in some ways. She is newly homeless. She’s a rescued pup looking for a hero to help her become the pup she was born to be. And, lastly, she is very popular.
Toto doesn’t have a pedigree as she’s a mix-breed girl and you don’t have to have papers to be a ton of cute! Thought to be 4-5 years of age, Toto has a lot of living left to do and would like to do it with you. Small breed dogs can live a very long lifetime and we foresee many years in sweet Toto‘s future.
