Good News: Officer Replaces Sick Man’s Stolen Groceries

posted by Cap'n Tony | @RadioOnTheTony -

While Officer Kristen Koryciak was working with store security at a Walmart in Houston, she spotted a man who had been in earlier buying groceries. The guy came back inside the store with a bandaged arm and when she asked what happened to him, he explained that he’d had a diabetic episode in the parking lot.

The man told the officer that he collapsed in the parking lot, emergency personnel came, and while he was being treated, someone swiped his food. Talk about kicking a man while he’s down!

Thankfully, Officer Koryciak was there and she paid to replace his groceries. In a Facebook post, she explains she was moved to help because she has relatives with diabetes and she cares about her community.
