Report: 76ers Going 'All In' To Clear Cap Space For LeBron James

While recent reports out of Vegas seem to say that LeBron James is heading to Los Angeles and other reports say LeBron has been leaning towards Cleveland—one report say otherwise.

And that would be a report out of Jersey that says LeBron may be heading to Philly.

This according to NJ.com, saying “the Sixers are doing everything they can to clear enough cap space to sign him outright to a max contract.”

Getting LeBron James to join ‘The City of Brotherly Love’ will send them to the top of the Eastern Conference instantly. But, key players like JJ Redick, Marco Belinelli, and Ersan Ilyasova would have to leave and they also would have to get him to overlook the fact that Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, and Markelle Fultz are often injured.

Making it hard for me to believe freeing up all that cap space isn’t a ridiculous gamble.

Actually, a smarter gamble would be clearing all that cap space to take that money to Vegas and put it on LeBron going to L.A. at -325.
