It’s been about two months since J.R. Smith made the blunder that sealed LeBron James’s exit from Cleveland.
You may recall—and I know all of Cleveland does—when he made that game-changing mistake at the end of regulation in the Cavaliers’ devastating Game 1 overtime loss to the Warriors in the NBA Finals.
And while many of those aforementioned Clevelanders may not be over it yet, it seems J.R. is—as evidenced by his Instagram.
Smith posted a photo of one of his daughters and wrote that that’s how she looked at him when “I didn’t shoot after Game 1!” He added laughing emojis, facepalm emojis and eyes emojis.
And I will say this as someone who was pretty infuriated simply by the boneheaded-ness of the play.
It is hard to stay mad at J.R. looking at the expression on his adorable little girls’ face.
Probably the same confused face she’ll have next NBA season if she’s looking for her daddy in a Cavs jersey.
Right when Smith made the blunder,James was furious. Afterwards, James told reporters Smith “probably took that loss as hard as anybody.” But now that the Warriors won the title and James is on the Lakers.
