The NFL may be in a holding pattern when it comes to the National Anthem policy, but one NFL owner is not.
Because one week after the league decided it will not enforce the policy until it can come to an agreement with the NFLPA, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said his team will be required to stand for the national anthem.
Because the league will not be fining players, the discipline comes down to a by-team basis and Jones just made it clear he will not be lenient when it comes to anthem conduct. In fact, Jones is even taking the original policy a step further by forcing his players to be on the field for the anthem.
I guess Jones takes that whole “America’s team” very seriously
But really, once you start forcing your players to salute the flag, isn’t that move of a move by ‘Merica’s Team?
