Ohio State is going to have some help looking into what Urban Meyer knew about the domestic abuse allegations against former wide receivers coach Zach Smith.
The university's board of trustees has appointed an independent group to assist in the investigation.
Meyer is currently on paid leave while the situation is being examined.

Breaking: Ohio State places Urban Meyer on paid administrative leave. Statement from athletic director Gene Smith: "The university is conducting an investigation into these allegations. During the inquiry, Urban Meyer will be on paid administrative leave. Ryan Day will serve as acting head football coach during the investigation. We are focused on supporting our players and on getting to the truth as expeditiously as possible."
