When an Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy spotted a car driving erratically on a recent evening, he conducted a traffic stop. Deputy Tyler Milton pulled the car over and a man got out quickly holding a baby who wasn’t breathing and was unresponsive, according to Deputy Tracy Koerner.
MIlton called for help on the radio and started trying to resuscitate the nine-month-old child. Deputy Alissa Farrington arrived seconds later and drove Milton and the baby boy to Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. Milton did CPR on the way and the baby began breathing on his own before they got to the hospital, Koerner reports.
The baby is in stable condition, thanks to these deputies. “Without a doubt, they are heroes,” Captain Richard Harpham says. “Their efforts saved a life.”
