Lebron James is making life a whole lot sweeter for kids at a New York City Catholic school.
They were stunned when the new Lakers player showed up Tuesday at Christ the King in Queens and walked right onto their basketball court.
That was a big surprise for students and staff and so was Lebron's announcement that he was donating new basketball gear to the school and paying to upgrade the boys' and girls' locker room.
The school is known for clinching championships and producing standout players, including former NBA star Lamar Odom and current WNBA star Sue Bird.
James also teased his new Nike sneakers and jerseys featuring his logo.
