*LIST* Seasonal Treats Coming To Starbucks

posted by Cap'n Tony | @RadioOnTheTony -

Ready or not, it’s Pumpkin Spice Latte season at Starbucks. But that beloved beverage isn’t the only seasonal menu item to get excited about this fall. While we’re sad to report that another fave, the Pumpkin Cheesecake Bar, won’t be returning this year, here are some new menu items that might make you forget all about that.

  • Apple Cider Doughnut - They say it’s a pastry “slathered with sweet vanilla icing and a dusting of turbinado sanding sugar for a lovely crunch.” We say we’ll take two.
  • Maple Pecan Muffin - This newbie is a combo of pecans and maple syrup and it’s described as “a little crunchy, a little sweet” and pairing perfectly with coffee or tea.
  • Pumpkin Scone - This has sweet vanilla icing and pumpkin spice drizzle, so who needs a Pumpkin Cheesecake Bar anymore?
  • Salted Caramel Mocha - Not everyone enjoys pumpkin-flavored everything, so this fall drink makes a good alternative. According to Starbucks, it’s got mocha sauce, toffee nut syrup, sweetened whipped cream, and a caramel drizzle, so what’s not to love?

It’s beautiful, make no mistake, but the new Apple Cider Doughnut won’t make up for the tragic, brutal & unsettling loss of the Pumpkin Cheesecake Bar at @starbucks. Starbucks says their secret ingredient for this one is apple cider - I’d sure as Hell hope so! But with a sweet vanilla icing and some sanding sugar, this more or less amounts to a glazed old fashioned cake donut of moderate quality. It could really use some spice, or perhaps an absolutely delightful pumpkin cheesecake bar crammed inside of it. I can taste the apple if I try hard enough, but it’s overshadowed by the emotionally devastating memories of a pumpkin cheesecake bar gone too soon. 💔
