Normally, when you think of a police officer approaching a group of skateboarders, you think trouble.
Not the case in Oxnard, California this week when one cop was happy to break that mold.
As the story goes, Officers Hames and Fessler started talking with the kids when Hames revealed that he was an award-winning skateboarder for 10 years before his police days.
To prove it, he took one of their boards and did a little showing off.
At one point, he even had more than 20 sponsors and could’ve gone pro – but he decided to protect and serve instead.
