Snell, Rays One-Hit Indians

Blake Snell took a no-hit bid into the seventh inning on his way to his MLB-leading 19th win as the Rays edged the Indians 3-1 in St. Pete.

Snell struck out nine while allowing just a solo homer to Jose Ramirez in the seventh as he moved to 19-and-5 on the season.

Ji-Man Choi clubbed a two-run homer in the first inning and Kevin Kiermaier had a sac-fly RBI in the fourth as Tampa took the rubber match of the three-game set.

Carlos Carrasco fell to 16-and-9 with the loss.  Cleveland wrapped up its road trip 3-and-4.

The Indians have today off before beginning their final homestand of the season tomorrow night.

The nine-game stretch starts with the first-of-three against the Tigers.

Cleveland leads Minnesota by 14-and-a-half games in the AL Central, with its magic number still three to clinch the division.

Josh Tomlin toes the rubber for the Indians opposite Detroit's Matt Boyd.
