Good News: Bus Driver Credits Students For Saving Her Life

A ride to school took a scary turn for some Seneca High School students in Louisville, Kentucky on Friday. Their driver, Ms. Denise, was on the road when she suffered a life-threatening medical emergency. Luckily, some of the teens on board jumped into action to save her.

Ms. Denise hadn’t been feeling well, but she thought she could make it through her shift. But she says when her vision got blurry, she pulled over to the side of the road. She doesn’t remember what happened next, but four courageous female students rushed to help her. Someone lifted her from the seat and laid her down on her back, someone called 911, and they followed their instructions to move Ms. Denise to her side for safety.

EMS and police arrived and took the driver to the hospital for treatment. Ms. Denise has been cleared to go back to work and she credits these teens with saving her life. She told them, “If it wasn’t for you, I probably wouldn’t be standing here today.”
