Indians Top White Sox

Corey Kluber earned his 19th win as the Indians defeated the White Sox 5-3 to open a three-game series at Progressive Field.  

Kluber struck out 11 and held Chicago to three runs on eight hits in eight innings.  

Jason Kipnis had a solo blast for Cleveland, which was coming off losing two-of-three to the Tigers.  

The Indians play the second of three against the White Sox tonight at Progressive Field.  

Cleveland is 84-and-66 with the AL Central already locked up.  

Carlos Carrasco starts for the Indians opposite Chicago's Dylan Covey.
