While sitting in the waiting room at the doctor’s office recently, Natasha Wilson witnessed a simple act of kindness that she shared on social media. She says a woman walked in with a sleeping baby and was given paperwork to fill out and as she tried to figure out how to hold the snoozing infant and complete the forms, a stranger stepped up to offer assistance.
In her Facebook post, Wilson writes that a man from across the room walked over to ask the mom if she’d like him to hold her baby while she did her paperwork. She smiled and told him that would be wonderful and Wilson writes that the “man went over there and rocked and loved on that baby like he was his,” melting her heart and everyone’s who read the post and saw the photo of the elderly white man snuggling with the tiny black baby.
“Racism is still VERY real in our society today BUT THIS MAN GAVE ME HOPE & a sweet memory I'll never forget,” Wilson posts. “If you know this man tell him what an amazing person he is!!"
