Former Cleveland Browns linebacker Clay Matthews is one of the 25 semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2019.

It will be the third time as a semifinalist for Matthews who played for the Browns from 1978 to 1993 appearing in 278 games while collecting over 15-hundred tackles.

Matthew's brother Bruce was inducted into Canton back in 2007 while his son Clay Matthews the Third is an All-Pro linebacker with the Green Bay Packers.

The list of nominees will be narrowed down in January with the finalists being enshrined at the Hall of Fame next August.
