Chargers RB Melvin Gordon Has MCL Sprain, Is Week-To-Week

Yesterday we told you that an unnamed source reported that Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon has a sprained MCL in his right knee and would be out for the next few weeks.

And today we are confirming exactly that and this time we can tell you the latest sources initials.

MRI.

The Chargers say Gordon’s status will be evaluated week-to-week and—given how well the Chargers have played week-to-week giving them a firm hold on the top AFC Wild Card spot—I can pretty much assure you won’t see him this Sunday night when his team travels to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers.

That means that the Chargers—and fantasy owners—will turn to running back Austin Ekeler, although you can also expect to see rookies Justin Jackson and Detrez Newsome spelling him on occasion.

And speaking of spelling, Charger head coach Anthony Lynn is an I-D-I-O-T for having his bell cow back in the game that late leading by three scores.
