Post Office Confirms They Delivered Boy’s Letter To Dad In Heaven

A little boy in the U.K. wanted to send his dad a birthday card in heaven and the Royal Mail service went above and beyond to let him know it was delivered. Teri Copeland says her seven-year-old son, Jase, dropped off an envelope with no address, but instructions for the mailman on it that read: “Mr. Postman, can you take this to heaven for my dad’s birthday? Thanks.”

Copeland shared a photo of the envelope on Facebook along with a photo of the kind reply letter Jase got from the Royal Mail. It explains that they wanted to let the kid know how they succeeded in getting the letter to his dad in heaven and that it “was a difficult challenge avoiding stars and other galactic objects on route to heaven.” The letter also assures Jase that they’ll do everything they can to continue “to ensure delivery to heaven safely.”

The Facebook post explains how emotional the boy is knowing that his dad got his card. “The fact that you’ve made the effort for a little boy you’ve never met is such a lovely thing to do Royal Mail,” Copeland writes. “It honestly means the world to him.”
