The most impressive thing going into last night’s game between the New Orleans Saints and the Dallas Cowboys was the NFL best 10 game winning streak the Saints brought into the game.
But when it ended the even more impressive 10 points the Dallas Cowboys had held the Saints to en route to a 13-10 upset of Saints who were favored by a TD going into the game.
Not only that, it was a historically bad first half for the Saints who were shut out in first half for first time in 71 games—ending the longest streak in the NFL.
The Cowboys, meanwhile, did all of their scoring in the first half domination the time of possession and of course getting a TD from their two top players when Dak Prescott hit Zeke Elliot on this swing pass he took for 16-yards to the house for this TD.
The Cowboys--now winners of four straight games—find themselves in command of a very mediocre NFC East as the Redskins have lost their starting QB Alex Smith and the Eagles continue to have the worst showing of a defending Super Bowl Champion.
The Saints must wait another week to punch their ticket to the postseason.
Although I am guessing they were punching everything in sight in the locker room following this frustrating loss.
