Maroon 5 Can’t Find Guests For Super Bowl

While the NFL hasn’t officially announced Maroon 5 as this year’s Super Bowl halftime performer, most sources insist they indeed have the gig and it seems the band may be doing it solo. According to a report in “Variety,” the band has reached out to a number of performers about joining them as featured guests during their 13-minute set, but so far nobody’s accepted.

Maroon 5 has reportedly approached Cardi B to join them for their hit “Girls Like You,” and they also reached out to Outkast, since they are from Atlanta, where the game is taking place, but so far they haven't accepted. Mary J. Blige was also asked, but she apparently has a scheduling conflict, while Usher, Lauryn Hill and Nicki Minaj have also been approached, but so far nobody’s confirmed.
