Evanescence is confirming they will be releasing new music sometime in 2019.
In a recent interview, frontwoman Amy Lee said the band is going back to its roots for the as-yet untitled follow up to their 2011 self-titled album. Meanwhile, Lee said so far the band doesn't have any large-scale touring plans next year, other than just a few shows. As for going back to the band's harder rock roots, Lee says she's "not nervous about it," despite not having "played rock-style in over a year."
She also notes “We all really wanna do it. And it’s not one of those things where it’s, like, ‘Someday, maybe we’ll do something again.’”
