Blue Jackets Win Wild One As Team Honors Rick Nash

The Columbus Blue Jackets honored former team captain and all-star Rick Nash, then went on to win a wild game 7-5 against the New York Rangers at Nationwide Arena.

Nick Foligno scored two goals for the Jackets who went into the third period with a three-goal lead before stopping a furious New York rally.

Former Ranger and Blue Jacket Rick Nash was honored before the game with a ceremonial puck drop at center ice after announcing his retirement from the NHL on Friday.

Nash was advised to retire following unresolved concussion issues and scored 437-goals and 368-assists in a 16-year career which included nine seasons in Columbus after being drafted by the CBJ first overall in 2002.
