Pay It Forward For Pets - Zoey

Living in an immediate gratification, and throw-away society, our human behaviors and reactions are not always able to be understood. Zoey is a casualty of this practice.

Zoey, a 9-year-old, 16-pound, Shih Tzu was surrendered to a shelter by her owner because she had an “accident on the floor” and her owner stated, “She is surely dying.” After a full evaluation, Zoey is age-appropriate and very far from the end of her life.

Later, it was uncovered that they had been trying to rehome sweet Zoey, without success, so they felt they had to give her a bad résumé as they were requesting euthanasia.

Luckily for Zoey, educated staff did not feel the story correlated with what they witnessed in her appearance, behaviors, or demeanor. Zoey is a sweet, loving, wiggle-butt that happily gets along with the many other little dogs we’ve introduced to her. She does appear to be housebroken - so that’s always a plus! She’s appropriately active and quite fun!

Zoey loves to be held and she loves being with her people, too. She’ll do lovely in a new home. Might that home be yours?
