We often hear comments about the high number of Pit Bulls in shelters. Many owners lack access to low-cost spay and neuter services, leading to unaltered dogs that can quickly reproduce. Only 1 in 10 dogs finds a permanent home, making the plight of Pit Bulls concerning.
Chanel, a smaller Pit mix at 34 pounds, is two years old and was found as a stray in Highland Square, West Akron. With no known history, we only know she's young, playful, and beautiful.
