Woman's Fridge Suddenly Explodes Without Warning

It’s one thing to have something explode in the fridge. It’s quite another thing to have the fridge itself explode. This happened to a woman in North Carolina recently when she was on the computer in another room and heard what she thought was an earthquake in the kitchen.

Lenore Satterthwaite says she only purchased the fridge in the fall and when she called a tech to check on a weird noise coming from the freezer, she was told a part needed to be ordered to fix the fan. But before the fridge was fixed, Satterthwaite was treated to an explosion so big, that it damaged the stove, walls, and surrounding furniture. The reason for the boom is still unknown. Here’s hoping that “act of god” is covered under warranty.
