Customers Being Asked For Tips At Self-Checkout

These days, shoppers are becoming overwhelmed with a phenomenon that’s being called “tipping fatigue.”

It seems like everywhere you go, stores and employees are asking for a little extra.

It’s one thing if it’s a restaurant or someone that’s providing a specific service, like hand-washing your car.

However, some store self-checkout kiosks are asking if you’d like to leave a tip. To whom? The computer?

Customers report being left wondering to whom that money would even go to if they did agree to tip.
