Mr. Beast Turned Down Trip On "Titanic" Submersible

Following the OceanGate submarine tragedy of last week, numerous celebrities and notable figures have come forward with news that they’d been invited on the fateful journey. In a vicious take-down of the company responsible for the voyage, the Oscar-winning director of “Titanic,” James Cameron, was one of those who declined an invite.

Now, YouTube mega-star Mr. Beast has confirmed he too was invited to join the submersible’s expedition. “I was invited earlier this month to ride the Titanic submarine, I said no. Kind of scary that I could have been on it,” he tweeted over the weekend. Beast also included a text to an unnamed person inviting them to join him to see the sunken ship.

The Titan's vessel was reported missing after launching toward the Titanic last Sunday. By Thursday, OceanGate revealed everyone on board died after what they call a “catastrophic implosion.” The very fortunate Mr. Beast revealed he ultimately turned down the invite earlier this month, though he hasn’t yet said why.
