Lady Gaga has broken her silence on the death of her close friend Tony Bennett.
In a post early this morning, the singer shared "With Tony, I got to live my life in a time warp. Tony & I had this magical power. We transported ourselves to another era, modernized the music together, & gave it all new life as a singing duo. But it wasn’t an act. Our relationship was very real.”
Gaga befriended the singer over 10 years ago and appeared on one of his duets albums.
After that, they had some duet albums together.
Then the pair came together in Aug. 2021 at Radio City Music Hall for their “One Last Time: An Evening With Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga” concert. It was Bennett’s last performance. He died on July 21st
